Following successful completion of the Skates & Sticks program kids are encouraged to join the Chicago Jets mite program based on USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM). The ADM format will consist of station based on-ice skill development along with in-house small area game competition days. All participants in the ADM model should plan to be on the ice three days per week within our program as well as participating in additional friendly cross-ice games with other organizations away from our home rink. If you would like to learn more about the ADM format please visit http://www.admkids.com .
The ADM on ice programming format will be led by Chicago Jets Hockey Director Kent Allen. The programming will be designed and implemented using the collective efforts of Jets coaches who currently coach our older teams at top levels in addition to working with our ADM program. The ADM program will be available to Mite players born between 2006 and 2009 who are ready to take the next step after completing the Skates & Sticks program. Players who enter the Jets ADM program will be divided into groups of similar skill sets within the ADM group to maximize development. All players would have had to participate in Johnny’s IceHouse youth programs or an equivalent program with another organization. The Chicago Jets will work with Johnny' s Icehouse to evaluate incoming players to ensure they have basic skating skills and attention span to participate in the Jets ADM program.
The Chicago Jets 2016-17 fall registration information will be listed on the Jets website http://www.chicagojetshockey.org in late June early July with our first clinics starting in late August.
