JOHNNY’S GRASSROOTS PROGRAMMING

Icicle Club, 1-4 years
In our Icicle Club Program, youngsters enjoy 30 minutes of ice time with a parent or guardian. This is the perfect class for little ones who are ready to lace up, but are not quite ready for group instruction.

Learn to Skate, 4-10 years
Johnny's Learn to Skate program is for true beginners. This class is a general ice skating class and focuses on fundamentals, taught by certified coaches. Level 1 is for brand new skaters, followed by Levels 2 & 3.

Junior Jets, 4-10 years
Johnny's Junior Jets is designed for kids who want to play hockey. This program focuses on hockey skating and early hockey fundamentals. There are two levels: Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced.

CHICAGO JETS HOCKEY CLUB PROGRAM DETAILS
The Chicago Jets Hockey Club is Chicago’s premiere Tier II youth hockey program. Since it was established in 2000 as a small Tier III program, gaining Tier II status in 2005, the Club has grown to over 400 players, with five teams at the Central States level.
CHICAGO JUNIOR JETS IN-HOUSE TEAMS / Ages 5-9
Upon graduation of the Johnny’s Junior Jets Program, the Chicago Jets ADM Program, also known as Chicago Junior Jets In-House League, provides the experience of further skill development as a part of an in-house team. The Chicago Junior Jets In-House Program skates at Johnny’s Icehouse three times weekly.
CHICAGO JUNIOR JETS (MITES) / Ages 6-8
Chicago Junior Jets travel teams play in the Chicago United Hockey League (CUHL). Families can expect three weekly practices and 20 CUHL League Games with the majority of the league games played on the weekend, half at Johnny’s Icehouse and half against other CUHL Clubs in the Chicagoland area. The teams will also participate in three tournaments one local and two out of town. Tryouts are held in late August and the travel schedule will run from September until the first week of March.
CHICAGO JETS (SQUIRTS, PEEWEES, BANTAMS) / Ages 9-14
The Chicago Jets offers Tier 2 travel hockey teams that play in the Central States Development Hockey League (CSDHL) and the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL). Tryouts are held at the end of August and the travel schedule runs from September until early March. Players can expect to play 35-45 games in a season along with on-ice practices, skills sessions and dryland training during the week. Teams will participate in tournaments both locally and out of town.
CHICAGO JETS U15 / U16 / U18 / Ages 15-18
The Chicago Jets U15/U16/U18 program is the most highly regarded program in the Chicagoland area for player development and advancement. After a competitive tryout for team selection, teams participate in the Central States Hockey Development League (CSHDL) having weekly on-ice practices, dryland training, and video coaching.
